Can you guess what it is yet?

With a maximum of 4 initial ingredients, this deliciousness can not only be made for the festive season but throughout the year.

The ingredients are listed below:

300 grams icing sugar

300 grams caster sugar

100 grams of aground almonds

1 egg yolk

If you combine all the ingredients you get an almond paste, even marzipan.

But being me, I like to be different, I like to be different and add flavour to the marzipan, so grated lemon zest and juice, gives the marzipan a whole different taste and texture.

There is only one drawback, it has to be used in a couple of days otherwise, unlike the commercially bought marzipan that lasts ages, this does go off. Please be warned.

Marzipan – such simple ingredients and yet easy to make and such divine inspiration as well.

It’s not just for Christmas, but can be used all year round.
