As you can see there is a new cake combination, which is pineapple and lime. But what I’d like to share with you is my short crust pasties, freshly made and not your normal cheese and onion flavour, these are a combination of roasted vegetables and feta cheese, encased in pastry and cooked for 20 minutes or so. They are light and crumbly and altogether different from the supermarket bought ones and also dairy free and suitable for vegetarian and non vegetarians as well.
The roasted vegetables included in the above are 2 different coloured courgettes, in this case, green and yellow, an onion, and pepper which were roasted for 45 minutes and then cooled until such times as they were needed for the pasties. Of course any vegetable or fruit combination will do, the choice is endless and exciting.
